I've got real proplem. I've got Slackware version 9. Which version of rpm
should I choose. There is not any dedicated especially for Slackware.
Slack doesn't use RPMs, does it? If so, then, no there are no Slackware RPMs.
You can try to rebuild the source RPM, if Slackware 9 has a functional RPM
building environment.

Hi,

Yes Slack doesn't use any rpm or deb package.

So the better is to download the last tarball (tar.gz or tgz) sources of postgres and build postgres.

Another solution is to use a rpm and alien. Maybe is running fine but it is not the spirit of slack.
Alien convert any package format in another.
